The starting point of the tour is the monument to Kenesary Khan – the last Kazakh Khan, the grandson of Abylai Khan, who led the national liberation movement of the Kazakhs, seeking the restoration of the khan's power, abolished after the annexation by the Russian Empire.
Then you will walk along the embankment of the Ishim River, which divides the city into two parts: the right and left banks. After all, where, no matter how here you can be so close to the origins of the history of the city. Walking along the embankment you will reach the city park. It is located on the embankment of the Yesil River (Ishim) in the very center of the capital.
On the territory of the park there is a summer amphitheater — an outdoor concert venue where various events (concerts, championships, contests and other entertainment) take place. You will also walk along the new Atyrau pedestrian bridge. It resembles a huge miracle fish, whose scales shimmer in the sun.
After the walk, you will visit the former main square in front of the akimat. Previously, the administration of the regional center of Tselinograd was located in the akimat building. The windows of the First Residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan also looked out here. You will look into the square on the square, where you will see 186 historical photographs of the First President of Kazakhstan in the open air. Some of them are unique because they have not been exhibited anywhere before.
In the continuation of the tour, you will drive to Independence Square, where there are such sights as the monument "Kazakh Eli", the monument with the bird Samruk on top represent the independence of our country and people, the Palace of Independence, the Palace of Peace and Harmony, which is the venue for various international and state events, as well as the mosque of Hazret Sultan – this the largest mosque in Central Asia. The building itself resembles an oriental palace and is the most beautiful architectural monument in the city of Astana.
Then you will drive to the left bank of the city, where the main streets and sights of the city are located: the Astana Opera and Ballet Theater, the Astana-Baiterek monument is the main attraction of the city, symbolizing the Kazakhs' idea of the universe, the height of the monument is 97 meters, means the year of renaming the capital to Astana, the Alley of Restaurants, Khan Shatyr and so on.
Then you will walk from the Lovers' Park along Nurzhol Boulevard, which leads to Akorda and the House of Ministries and see the buildings of the Majilis and the Senate, there is also a singing fountain on the boulevard, which works in the summer evening.
At the end of the tour you will be able to see the Main new mosque of the city. In 2022, a new mosque was opened in Astana, built on behalf of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. This mosque is the main one in Kazakhstan and the largest in the country and not only – it is also included in the list of the ten largest mosques in the world.
