The Regional Literary Museum, dedicated to the celebrated Kazakh literary figure I. Zhansugurov, was inaugurated in May 1984 in honor of the 90th anniversary of this literary luminary. The museum is housed in a building constructed in 1907, adding historical significance to the institution.

The museum’s extensive collection spans across five rooms, featuring over 6,000 personal items that once belonged to the writer. These include his typewriter, desk lamp, his cherished musical instrument – the kobyz of Malika, first editions of his books, a gramophone, a cane, and a document detailing the death sentence issued on February 26, 1938, due to his involvement in a counter-revolutionary nationalist organization.
