The House-Museum of D. Bagaev, established on January 30, 2001, pays tribute to Dmitry Polikarpovich Bagaev, a prominent local historian and the chronicler of Pavlodar Priirtyshye.
Bagaev, who was not only the founder but also the inaugural director of the Regional Museum of Local History, gained widespread recognition for his exceptional photography skills that extended far beyond Kazakhstan’s borders.
The museum proudly displays authentic items from the early 20th century, including photographic equipment from that era. Its most treasured possession, however, is Bagaev’s remarkable creative legacy—photographs that offer a captivating glimpse into the history of the region spanning over half a century.
