In the city of Atyrau, situated on the northern coast of the Caspian Sea, at the mouth of the renowned Ural River, formerly known as the Yaik River, stands the world’s largest suspension pedestrian bridge. Erected in the year 2001, this remarkable bridge boasts an impressive length of 551 meters, earning its well-deserved place in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest pedestrian bridge globally.

This extraordinary architectural marvel, which serves as a vital link between the European and Asian sections of the city, was aptly named “10 Years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
