In the spring of 1990, a significant moment unfolded in the city of Aktau with the establishment of the Orthodox society called “Truth.” Their primary mission was to bring an Orthodox parish to the city, a much-needed spiritual center given the absence of a church for many hundreds of kilometers.
In 1996, a pivotal step towards realizing this vision was taken when a plaque for the construction of the church was consecrated and laid. This symbolic act signified the unwavering commitment of the “Truth” society and marked the beginning of physical progress towards the church’s creation. Then, on a momentous day, December 3, 2000, the church was consecrated, ushering in a new era of spiritual and communal significance for Aktau.
