The Zhambyl Regional Museum of Local History holds a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1931, as confirmed by archival records.
Its inception was the result of active involvement from various segments of the city’s population, including intellectuals, industrial workers, and schoolchildren who eagerly contributed to the museum’s growth.
Through numerous archaeological and scientific collecting expeditions, the museum’s collection has significantly expanded. Today, the regional museum proudly maintains an impressive state register featuring approximately 35,000 artifacts, each with its own unique story and historical significance.
