The Central Mosque of South Kazakhstan region stands as a prominent religious landmark in Shymkent. Situated in the western part of the city, this mosque, inaugurated in May 2013, holds the distinction of being the largest mosque in the entire South Kazakhstan region.
The construction of this significant religious edifice was initiated by the Head of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with direct support from the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It stands as a symbol of both spiritual significance and international collaboration.
