The Ethnographic museum in Shymkent can be called unique without exaggeration, because its entire exposition and premises were created by the hands of one person – Kendebay Karabdalov.
Kendebai Karabdalov recreated more than 10 musical instruments, various clay household appliances, jugs, which fully reflect the ancient life of the Kazakhs and traditions that have been preserved forever in the national culture.
Part of the museum is located underground, being a kind of hilvet-an underground mosque. The local environment literally calls for meditation, reflection, and spiritual balance.
