The Kostanay Regional Memorial Museum of Ibray Altynsarin, founded in 1991 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the great Kazakh educator’s birth, is a vital center of national culture.
Ibray Altynsarin, known for his contributions as a teacher, scientist, poet, and creator of the Kazakh alphabet, played a pivotal role in shaping Kazakh literature and language.
Housed in a beautiful oriental-style building within the city’s historic district, near the Ibray Altynsarin Boarding School for gifted children established by him in 1884, the museum serves as a tribute to his rich and innovative legacy. Margulan Ospanov is the Director of the museum.
