Alau is a world-class ice palace designed for a range of sporting events, including speed skating, hockey, short track, and figure skating. The arena boasts a 400-meter ice track with seating for 7,462 spectators, along with judging panels.
Additionally, it houses two hockey courts, each covering 1,800 square meters, a spacious 4,200-square-meter fitness center, a 900-square-meter shooting range, and a 200-square-meter hall for press conferences and exhibitions, with seating for 80 people.
The Alau complex spans over 65,000 square meters and is among the most popular sports facilities in Kazakhstan.
On weekdays, it sees around 1,500 daily visitors, while on weekends and holidays, during the “Mass skating” project from October to April, it hosts 2,000 to 3,000 people per day. Alau serves as a hub for sporting excellence and community engagement.
