The history of the Concert Hall “Astana” dates back to 1963 when it was originally constructed as the Palace of the Virgin Lands, renowned for its distinctive architectural design. In 1998, following a reconstruction, it was renamed Congress Hall, and in 2016, it assumed its modern name.
Today, the State Academic Philharmonic is housed within the Concert Hall “Astana.” The facility spans a total area of 6,697 square meters, with the centerpiece being the auditorium, covering 1,889 square meters and accommodating 1,620 seats. The auditorium is equipped with a state-of-the-art music system, ensuring excellent acoustics, and its stage offers clear visibility from every seat in the house. It continues to be a cultural landmark in the city.
