The Ascension Cathedral is a truly remarkable architectural structure with a rich history. After serving various purposes over the years, it was ultimately transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church in 1995.
Subsequently, in 2004, a significant restoration project was undertaken to breathe new life into the cathedral. This comprehensive effort included the recreation of the iconostasis, an integral part of the interior, as well as the meticulous painting of the cathedral’s walls.
These restoration initiatives have helped preserve the cathedral’s historical and cultural significance for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.
