The Cathedral of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul stands as one of the city’s oldest and most enduring architectural treasures. Its origins date back to 1803 when the original church was established.

In 1812, this initial structure was disassembled, only to be replaced by a new stone three-altar church on the same site on October 22, 1813. Following the October Revolution, the church was temporarily closed, but in 1947, it once again became a place of worship.

Since then, church services have continued to be held in this historic cathedral, marking a testament to its enduring significance within the community.
